By the end of summer, 2010, I hope to have earned 100 Junior Ranger badges. This year we plan to visit parks in NC, SC, TN, MS, OH, MI, VA, MD, and WV. I can earn 25 badges near Washington DC on our summer vacation there. I have learned a lot about nature, history and culture. I helped make a denim quilt and we sew the patches I earn participating in the Junior Ranger program on it. We also buy a patch at almost every park we visit because it helps support the park. I wear the badges on my denim vest.
