Ft. Donelson was an important battle during the Civil War. This area was also a stop along the Underground Railroad.

Russell Cave, Alabama

Russell Cave was really interesting. Explorers, Indians and settlers used this cave for shelter.

Stones River Battlefield, Tennessee

Will, my best friend, and I earned badges together at Stones River. There were soldiers there that day who showed us how they fired the cannon. The cemetary puzzle was really challenging.

Lincoln Boyhood Home, Indiana

My cousin Josh and I both earned Junior Ranger badges at the site where Abraham Lincoln lived as a young boy.

Blue Ridge Parkway, Virginia

I went on a scavenger hunt to find things along the trail. I found a mushroom under this log.

Springfield Armory, Massachusetts

I'm earning so many badges, they will probably make me a full-fledged National Park Ranger! Springfield Armory was very interesting. I learned all about rifles.

Salem Maritime, Massachusetts

I learned about what it was like to be a sailor in the 1700's. I even got to try out a hammock bed in this ship. I learned what kind of things were brought to this country by ship.
